Several directives have also been issued regarding the control of construction materials left on roads for more than 24 hours
He has given strict warnings against plastic usage and stoves, with a final ultimatum given for compliance

In a recent 'Talk to Mayor' programme, Mayor Firhad Hakim highlighted the below given issues:

Individuals posing as needy to gain sympathy on the streets of Kolkata are not genuinely in need but rather are scrap dealers. Be aware of them. I have already tolf Police Commissioner to catch them and put them into night shelters. People can also report to police stations.
Any construction materials such as bricks, sand, and cement left unattended on the road for more than 24 hours will be considered under the control of the corporation, which will subsequently take custody of the materials.
Issued stern warning to hawkers using plastic, emphasizing the recent complete ban on plastic and stoves. A final ultimatum has been given to enforce the ban.
To combat illegal construction, citizens are encouraged to report such activities on the chat board, with corporation officials promising to visit the reported sites, create a selfie video, and ascertain the presence of workers or contractors.
